Design Showcase 2022

design showcase invite 2022

The staff and final year students of the Department of Design & Creative Media are delighted to invite you "back to campus" to celebrate the opening of our end of year Graduate Show on Thursday June 9 at 6pm

This year's show promises to excite the senses! It includes the work of students from Fashion, Animation, Film, Graphics and UX Design. Having had two long years in the absence of a "live" Show - we can assure you, this will not disappoint.

The Show will open with a Fashion catwalk - focusing on sustainable fashion and circular design. Form here you are invited to our "Pop-Up" cinema, where the final work of Animation and Film students will be screened. Graphic and UX Design will be displayed on the second-floor landing and all students work may be viewed in detail in their studios.

We are so excited to be back on campus with our students and friends from the northwest!
We look forward to seeing you then!

LYIT is now ATU!

On April 1st 2022, Letterkenny Institute of Technology merged with Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and Sligo Institute of Technology to become the Atlantic Technological University.

With eight campuses from Galway to Donegal, ATU is one of the largest University campuses in Ireland. We are now known as ATU Donegal and we offer the same quality courses as before, with new courses in development.

In time, we will move this site to a new domain to reflect our new status, but for now, you can find out more at www.lyit.ie and at www.atu.ie. We will add updates here as and when the new site goes live.

DICE 2021

Now in its seventh year, the DICE (Design, Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise) Conference, brought to you by the Department of Design and Creative Media and DICE Labs at Letterkenny Institute of Technology, continues to celebrate and showcase the very best of Irish and international practitioners in design, fashion, film, animation, and entrepreneurship, alongside alumni and students of LYIT.

This year there are three strands to the conference, a webinar specifically for Irish and international design educators; an industry event reflecting the prominent role of social media and influencers in marketing your business, and finally the jewel of our conference each year — our main event, showcasing past and present students and industry specialists, reflecting the diversity of disciplines offered by the department.
